The era of high-definition digital video is here. Now that the U.S. has made the transition to digital broadcasting, there is an ongoing paradigm shift in the television industry. With our state-of-the-art HD field and post-production gear, and our knowledge of the new HD technologies, Media Source is well-positioned to help you make the transition to high-def. Our staff of experienced videographers knows how to tell compelling visual stories that stand out. Our primary tools are the new generation of tapeless, memory card cameras, including our top-of-the-line Panasonic HPX3000 P2 HD camera, and our Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX camera; our Panasonic HDX900 DVCPRO HD tape camera, which can also record HD video as digital files to an attached FireStore hard drive recorder; our Panasonic HD switcher; and our three Final Cut Pro HD edit suites.
A top-notch royalty-free music library from Network Music/Killer Tracks is available for our clients to choose musical themes for video productions. We also have an extensive collection of HD graphics templates, to add some sizzle to your video pieces.
We can deliver a viewable, Blu-ray HD video disc of your finished project, for maximum presentation quality. We can also deliver a downconverted, standard-definition version of your finished video on DVD. Whatever the case, you are future-proofing your footage when it originates in high-def. All our client HD footage is backed up to DLT server tape (a proven technology for preserving data, the DLT media has a 30 to 40-year life span), using our new Quantum SDLT-600A tape drive, the industry's first DLT drive to be optimized for professional video data.
The bottom line: you can view our productions in standard-definition now, and have the benefit of the HD quality when you need it on down the road.
